The Education Fund's Teach-A-Thon

We welcome your involvement in The Education Fund's Teach-A-Thon - whether as a donor or a participant!

This unique and popular messaging awareness campaign successfully focuses attention on our understanding of the teaching profession, the importance of supporting teachers to ensure teaching quality, and the impact that teaching quality has on student achievement.

We use the walk-a-thon model, with a twist! We recruit employees from businesses throughout Miami-Dade to become Teacher Champions. They train with their mentor teacher in creating a lesson plan and learning about the teachers and teaching quality, then share their knowledge with friends, family and co-workers when soliciting pledges.

The Teach-A-Thon culminates in a one-day event during with hundreds of Teacher Champions enter the classroom to teach their lesson plan. That same evening, both teachers and their Champions celebrate at a Victory Party.
