The community grants review committee uses the following criteria to make their recommendations. Applicants should review the following criteria to ensure they are addressed in their application.
Does the applicant clearly demonstrate the relationship of the program's goals and purpose to dropout prevention? Does the program provide students with opportunities to experience success and to relate that success to completing his/her high school education? Does the program provide students with information or experiences that assist in removing barriers to achieving success in the school setting?
Is the program clearly defined? Are the goals measurable and realistic?
Is the program realistic in terms of what is expected to be accomplished?
Are the activities well-planned, specific and directly related to the program goals?
Is the funding requested reasonable for the activities planned? Is the budget sufficiently detailed?
Is the program evaluation process clearly defined and realistic?
Does the program incorporate one or more of the priority activities described on the front page?
