Citi Team Mentor Grants provide an incentive for collaboration between new and veteran teachers. This collaboration centers on classroom-based student learning projects that provide common ground for veteran teachers and new teachers to work together. The aim is to encourage peer-to-peer learning opportunities and ongoing dialogue among teachers.
The teacher teams comprise a mentor (a veteran teacher with more than five years of experience) and one or more beginning teachers with less than three years of teaching experience. Grants range from $1,000 to $1,200.
The deadline for applications is June 1. Program implementation will begin in September and will be completed by May 1st.
