Team grants must include: One or more veteran teacher(s) with more than five years of teaching experience and one or more new teacher(s) with less than three years of teaching experience.
Grants range from $1,000 to $1,200.
Team grants must incorporate a classroom student-learning project
Deadline for grant applications: June 1.
Project implementation will begin in September and will be completed by May 1st. Grant approval will be reconsidered in the event that the applicant is re-assigned or leaves the organization through which they apply, thus preventing the implementation of the program.
We recommend that the project encompass the standards of the National Board for the Profession of Teaching Standards found at www.nbpts.org/standards/index.html. These standards reflect the development levels of the students and subjects being taught and are useful as professional development tools for teachers at all levels of performance.
Grant funds cannot be used for personal honorariums, but may be used to reimburse teachers for time spent working on the project outside of the classroom. A portion of the funds may be used for professional development (books, materials, seminars, including The Education Fund's annual fall IMPACT ll Idea Expo.
