The Education Fund

Programs

The success of the Silent Art Auction can be seen in the funding raised-more than $400,000 to support the arts in our public schools, and in the words of our attendees:

"Of all the charity events my family and I attended last year (and trust me, there were a lot), The Education Fund's Silent Art Auction was one of our favorites. This is an organization with so much heart. You can't help but enjoy so many wonderful people coming together to support such talented youth."
-Trae Williamson

"I have been attending this annual Art of Found Objects Silent Art Auction for the past eight years and each time it gets better and better. The artwork created by public school students and teachers is simply amazing and the luxury items offered are unique. I have to admit that I look forward to it each year."
-José A. Concepción

"The Art of Found Objects is a wonderful way to support our public school students while having a great time bidding on amazing student art and unusual luxury items."
-Nancy and Jon Batchelor

"I've been so fortunate in my life that I feel a responsibility to give back to the community. Whether you have children who attend public schools or not, we all must support public education. The Education Fund is the perfect vehicle for that support and the Art Auction is a fabulous event!"
-Norma A. Quintero

"Art is as important as reading, writing and math. It is food for the soul. The Art of Found Objects invests in the talent of our young people who will become the great artists of tomorrow. The auction is a great opportunity to support art education."
-Myrna Palley

"I look forward to the event every year… from the sumptuous buffet to the open bar, of course! But what I enjoy the most is the children's art that is available for purchase at the auction. The artwork is always an inspiration to continue our efforts in support for The Education Fund and Miami-Dade County Public Schools!"
-Merle Weiss

"'The Art of Found Objects' is such an exciting event, and so fun. Run, don't walk, and we'll see you there!"
-Dolores and Sanford Ziff

Art Basel and the international art community have focused on the creativity of young Miami artists. What better way to continue this momentum than by supporting the arts at the grade school level?"
-Maggie Hernandez

"In the lobby of our office sit five very large papier-mâché frogs playing poker. Everyone who sees them flips out in astonishment over 'our frogs' when they learn that they were not created by a 'known' artist, but by extremely talented students."
-Scott Deutsch
