The Education Fund enlists the support of the private sector to improve Miami-Dade public schools and bring excellence to public education. This work reaches all 390+ schools and all 22,000+ teachers in Miami-Dade Public Schools, and benefits thousands of students.

The Education Fund is making a difference in the lives of children:

  • $38 million raised for public schools
  • 10,500+ computers provided to students and parents
  • 500+ computers placed in classrooms
  • 1.2 million trilingual Parent Resource Guides distributed
  • $2 million+  in individual classroom grants to help teachers foster student achievement
  • 228,000 hours of one-on-one tutoring for students struggling with reading
  • 4,216 hours of in-class mentoring for first-year teachers
  • $800,000 in grants for dropout-prevention programs
  • $3.4 million leveraged for one of the nation's most comprehensive leadership development programs for secondary school administrators
  • $622,000 for public schools' visual arts programs
  • $6.1 million in free supplies for classrooms
  • 900,000+ students benefited from donated classroom supplies
  • 1,260 classroom projects funded by Teacher Mini-Grants
  • $2.3 million+ in computers and equipment donated for school children
  • 16,500 teacher visits to our free supplies warehouse
  • 211 tons of computer hardware diverted from Miami-Dade landfills
